I am participating in the development of a functional genomics and sequence database for the porcelain crab transcriptome and microarray projects. This database, called the Porcelain Crab Array Database (PCAD), (http://array.sfsu.edu), blends together a version of the Stanford Microarray Database for archive and analysis of microarray data, a library of DNA sequences from the assembly of ~98K porcelain crab ESTs, and homology search results of those sequences. I am developing novel ways in which to integrate the sequence data and microarray data, to link homology data to external database sites (e.g., GO, KEGG), and am also adding features to the microarray analysis part of the database.
