San Francisco State University AACSB/EBI Graduate Business Students Assessment Study 2003 AACSB/EBI Part-Time MBA Exit Study The CoB contracted with Educational Benchmarking Inc. of Springfield, Missouri to survey graduate students in the spring of 2002 and the spring of 2003. The main purpose of the survey is to provide diagnostic help to the business school in improving its operations. Secondarily, the data are presented along with data from six comparison schools of business and a much larger universe of business schools across the country. The CoB handed the questionnaires out in class to graduate business students enrolled in BUS 890 Seminar in Strategic Management. The number returned in spring 2003 was 79 compared to 200 questionnaires sent to the CoB by EBI. The questionnaire contained 66 items and the students responded using a one to seven scale. The top 15 rated items and the bottom 15 rated items are here. EBI constructed sixteen factors from 50 of the items and left 16 items to be reported on separately. The factors are presented for both years of EBI surveys in order of improved ratings. The results of these surveys were summarized in a presentation to the full College of Business faculty in August of 2002 and August 2003. More detailed results were shared with the department chairs and the members of the Assessment Committee. The full reports are held in the Dean's office and can be read by any faculty member. |
