Announcement #4 (11/29/04)
Dr. Patrick Dennis, Professor Emeritus from the Department of Biochemistry, University of British Columbia, and currently Program Director, Microbial Genetics, Division of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences, at the National Science Foundation, will present a research seminar during Exam week, on December 15th, at noon, in SCI 256.
Biol 871 students are encouraged to attend, but are not required to attend.  Consider this seminar an opportunity to "make up" for missing a previous seminar.  Attendance and a summary will count towards the Fall 2004 semester attendance and summary points.  The summary for Dr. Dennis' seminar should be turned in to the Department of Biology Office no later than Friday, December 17, at 3 pm.

Announcement #5 (12/27/04)
Please check the Blackboard website to check your attendance and summaries for the semester.  Please note that you are required to attend at least 12 seminars and to turn in at least SIX summaries for the seminars you attended.

Note that at the end of the grade list, I have indicated the TOTAL ATTENDANCE and the SUMMARIES (indicating how many summaries you have turned in).

If you believe there are errors in these numbers, please email me (pasion@sfsu.edu).  If you have a graded summary that is missing from the gradebook, you must turn in the summary to me.  I am on campus most afternoons this week (office number 415-405-0736).

Note that ALL GRADES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MONDAY, JANUARY 3, 2005.  You must contact me before this deadline if there are any issues to resolve for your Biol 871 grade.
