Collaborative AAC Services in Inclusive Early Intervention Settings

AAC and Early Computers

Computers are powerful tools to support young children to establish cause/effect skills, vocabulary building, problem solving, visual attention, social interaction, and augmentative communication interactions. You will find the article by Grant and Singer (2004) to be a useful guide in selecting and using software to meet the goals for your target child. The AAC EI project has acquired several computer programs for young children and these are available for checkout in the AAC Lab in Burk Hall 137.
