Muscovite

K₂Al₄ [Si₆Al₂O₂₀](OH,F)₄

Muscovite is a sheet silicate in the mica group. Micas break into thin sheets; muscovite is the most transparent of all the micas. Muscovites usually occur in metamorphic rocks and represent higher temperature and pressure conditions than biotite.
