At each city CTS personnel met us. CTS = Chinese International Travel Service, a government
commercial enterprise that provided us with a private bus, a tour guide and
interpreter to take us anywhere we wanted to go, three meals a day, and tickets
for boat trips and tourist site fees.
They did a good job and did not restrict us in any way.
