    Volunteer with your child

Much of what we learn from infants and toddlers comes from observing how much attention they give to objects and speech of different sorts. Our testing involves presenting children with various speech sounds or objects, and recording how long they attend to the presentation. If you are interested in contributing to our research and learning about your child's development, please contact us to see whether we have any studies with children in your child(ren)'s age range. You and your child can expect to spend 5 minutes or so in our child reception area geared to accomodate your child to the new surroundings, followed by about 15 minutes of testing in our child study room. You will stay with or next to your child at all times. You should allow an additional 15 minutes... well, just because they're small children.

If you would like to volunteer or if you have questions, please e-mail the lab at babycog@sfsu.edu, or call us at (415) 338-7547.

COMING SOON: Sign your infants up online. Check back here soon! page referred to is being worked on
