Install lever handles, push-bars, or U-shaped
pull handles instead of round doorknobs.
Use doors that are lightweight.
Make sure the door can be opened and closed with a minimum of five
pounds of force.
Install front-door peep holes at two levels
so that people who are standing or sitting can see arriving guests
before opening the door. To accommodate people in wheelchairs, peepholes
should be located 36-45 inches above the floor.

Storm doors should be eliminated when possible
