I am trying to restore to operating condition a wonderful TMC rig (Technical Materiel Corporation of Mamaroneck, New York)
for AM contacts on the amateur radio band of 75 Meters, specifically 3870 kHz, which is a long-standing popular frequency for AMers.

The SBE-2 and SBE-3 SSB/AM/CW/FSK exciters were the heart of several major TMC tramsmitters, including the TMC-750 (750 Watts, 1400 lbs.).
It is extremely versatile with such features as simultaneous or independent upper or lower sidebands, DSB with variable carrier insert,
and CW, MCW, or AM. It provides a maximum output of 3 Watts from 2 to 32 MHz with 10 switchable crystals.
Audio inputs are Hi-Z crystal or dynamic mike, unbalanced, or duo 600 Ohm balanced inputs, which allows for stereo AM.
It contains 21 tubes and weighs 35 lbs.

The history of TMC is not as well known as Collins Radio, but its products rank among the finest HF equipment ever made.
It deserves more research. I would appreciate further information and links.
