How to Apply

Students attend the program on a full-time basis. Some courses are offered on the campus of Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, CA.

Can I begin the program at any time?
Students can begin their program in either the fall or spring semester (beginning in spring adds one semester of part-time study to the program due to the strict sequencing of courses).

Applications for fall enrollment are due March 15th of each year.

Applications for spring enrollment are due October 15th of each year.

A Special Note: Students who apply for fall admission can often take courses in the preceding summer. The deadline for registering for summer courses varies according to the scheduled date on which the course begins.

How do I apply to the program?
Complete two application forms, one to San Francisco State University, and one to the SFSU Dept. of Special Education.
