Style of Learning Assessment

There are nine sets of four words below. Rank the words in each set by assigning a "4" to the word that best characterizes you learning style, a "3" to the word that next best characterizes your learning style, a "2" to the next more characteristic word, and a "1" to the word that is least characteristic of you as a learner.

You may find it hard to rank some of these words, but keep in mind that there are no right or worong answers. All choices are equally acceptable. The aim is to describe your style of learning, not to evaluate yuour learning ability. Be sure to assign a different rank number to each of the four words in each set; do not make ties.

The four columns of words above correspond to the four learning-style scales: CE, RO, AC, and AE. To compute your score, write your rank numbers in the boxes below for the designated items. For example, for your CE score, fill in the rank numbers you have assigned to items 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 9 in the first column above. Compute your scale scores by totaling the rank numbers in each set of boxes.
