Characteristics of Analytical Learners:

  • Perceive information abstractly and process it reflectively.
  • Devise theories by integrating their observations into what they know.
  • Learn by thinking through ideas.
  • Need to know what the experts think.
  • Value sequential thinking.
  • Need details, and are thorough and industrious.
  • Enjoy ideas more than people.
School:
  • Enjoy traditional classrooms and find ideas fascinating.
  • Find school well suited to their needs.
  • Seeking intellectual competence and personal effectiveness, they are highly skilled verbally and, generally, avid readers.
