Amy Bruckman Dr. Bruckman is Assistant Professor at the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, where she researches and teaches about virtual communities in education. A graduate of MIT's Epistemology and Learning Group, her dissertation was entitled "MOOSECrossing: Construction, Community and Learning in a Networked Virtual World for Kids" While at MIT, she also created MediaMOO, a MUD designed to be a professional community for media researchers. Dr. Bruckman has written extensively on Constructionism in online learning environments. Arthur Chandler Professor Chandler teaches in the Humanities Department at San Francisco State University. His graduate class, Cyberspace Humanities, was one of the first to examine the impact of the Internet on human perception and experience in relation to the Humanities. (I highly recommend this class!) Prof. Chandler is also a long-time member of BayMOO, an online, text-based virtual community. George Landow George Landow is Professor of English and Art History at Brown University, and a leading scholar on Victorian literature and culture. Professor Landow is also recognized as a major theorist of hypertext application and design. His 1992 study, Hypertext: The Convergence of Contemporary Literary Theory and Technology initiated academic consideration of electronic writing systems.
