John Broadus Watson
1878-1958
|
Watson was born in Greenville, SC, studied at Chicago and became a professor of psychology at Johns Hopkins University. The American psychologist founded the school of psychology - behaviorism. |
He asserted that all forms of behavior were concrete, disconnected and observable,
but inner experiences couldn't be observed. Thus, he formulated the stimulus-response
theory and set up the goal of his theory for observing, measuring and controlling
behavior.
