Statue of Liberty Watch Towers
-a sentinel protecting the gate to America-
(a proposal)

This is a proposal to create watch towers along the border between Mexico and the United States of America. It will consist of one hundred and eighty seven towers constructed in the shape of the Statue of Liberty. They will cover the length of the border from Brownsville on the Gulf of Mexico to San Diego on the Pacific Ocean. The natural resources and day labor will come from Mexico, and the contracts for this project will all be given to American corporations. In this way, the cost for the project will stay low, and profits will be maximized. The project will be financed through the manufacture of small one foot tall replicas of the Statue of Liberty Watch Towers in Maquiladoras along the border. These replicas will be sold in New York at the Statue of Liberty to tourists, and exported, duty free, to Mexico. This unique method of finance will limit the public money needed for this project, and ultimately become a source of revenue for the government and those corporation involved with thisproject.
