Biology 871 Students: All students wishing to participate in BIO871 are required to attend the first week of class on Feb 2nd at 4:10pm.

Requirements:

A course syllabus is available once enrolled on iLearn.

1) You must attend 11/13 lectures lecture. It is your responsibility to sign in on the attendance sheet before each seminar begins.

2) Write summaries of 7/13 seminars that you attend. The requirements for these summaries will be posted on iLearn.

3) Participate as a student host for a minimum of ONE speaker. Hosting a speaker includes introducing the speaker for his/her talk, providing refreshments and escorting the speaker to the seminar room. It is a great opportunity to connect with scientists in the community, learn about the speaker and his/her work, and get to know faculty at other institutions. You can also attend lunches and dinners with the speakers. Hosting more than on speaker can be used as extra credit.

Once enrolled in the course, it is your responsibility to check iLearn for announcements on the course.
