J. RICHARD BEER

 

Richard Beer has been a researcher and research administrator in Information Technology for over twenty years. Before joining the faculty at the College of Professional Studies at USF he was the Executive Director of the Fisher Center for IT at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and prior to that he was the Associate Director of the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley. He has taught in various graduate programs at the Technical University in Berlin, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and St. Mary's College of California in Moraga. His research interests include data mining, process modeling, and computer simulation models. His undergraduate degree is in Electrical Engineering and he holds a PhD in Computer Science and a graduate degree in Mathematics.
