Meetings are biannual (alternating with CERF biannual meeting) and rotate among locations within California and Baja California, depending on the geographic distribution and needs of members
- Student presentations and participation are encouraged
- Formats include small topical meetings consisting of a large poster session and scientific talks.
- Formats and venues are determined through discussion among officers followed by an open electronic discussion of the issues
- Whenever possible, CAERS meetings will be scheduled to coincide with meetings of other regional societies
