SFSU - University of Pacific Dental Post-Bac Program
The Dental Post-Bac Program maintains a close affiliation with the Arthur A. Dugoni Dental School at the University of Pacific. The Program is designed for both dental school reapplicants and first-time applicants who are socioeconomically disadvantaged and have a documented commitment to practicing dentistry in an underserved area. The Program annually admits about 16 students. Pre-dental post-bacs who are not socioecomonically disadvantaged should instead apply to the Formal Post-Bac Program. About 10% of Formal Post-Bacs are pre-dental students, and these pre-dental students receive limited support from the Dental Post-Bac Program. Dental Post-Bac applicants must have completed all dental school pre-requisite coursework by July 1, 2012. The Program has about a 85% success rate for its participants gaining entry into US dental schools.
The revised 2011-2012 online application is now available; however, it still uses separate Reapplicant and Adjunct applications. This will be changed shortly. Please only use the Reapplicant application, as the Adjunct application will be discontinued and data used in it will be lost: Deadline: April 1, 2012; late applications will be considered if space is available.
