Information Systems Department , College of Business proudly announce

Two $1,500 scholarships for two years will be awarded for the 2004-05 academic year to upper division Information Systems majors in the College of Business at San Francisco State University.Each recipient must be a U.S. citizen. Seniors graduating this academic year are eligible and are encouraged to apply.

Applicants will be judged on the basis of the following five criteria, with the first one being most important and weighted more heavily than the other three.

  • Grade Point Average in ISYS (BICS) courses, the College of Business, and SFSU overall, with a minimum of 3.7 required in each category.
  • A one-page, single-space typewritten resume describing the student's educational and professional objectives, summarizing the student's educational and professional experience, and facts demonstrating the student's verbal and written communication skills and aptitude for a career in information technology.
    A typewritten description of extracurricular activities, school service, honors, awards, job experiences and any other accomplishments attained while attending SFSU that demonstrates the student's communication skills and interest and aptitude for a successful career in a technology management field.
    A statement summarizing the student's eligibility for financial aid and documents indicating that the student is a current recipient of financial aid program at SFSU.

Application forms and further information may be obtained from the Department Office (BUS 310) or be downloaded here. Please submit your application to the Department Office at BUS 310 by February 25 2005 (Friday). The Committee may, at its discretion, interview finalists selected on the basis of the above criteria.
