Computer Applications in
Kinesiology (Kin 325) covers
topics in Windows XP, Microsoft Office Professional, Front Page, Kinematic
Analysis and programming in Visual Basic for Applications. These software programs are
installed on all PCs in the Kinesiology Movement Analysis Lab, the Burk Hall 217 lab (25 PCs), in the HSS 219 lab (34
PCs) and in most other university PC labs. You can also purchase inexpensive
software licenses to use the Office Professional package on your home PC through
the bookstore customer service department. Note: the bookstore sells the same
software at a higher price in the computer / software department.
Class meetings for Kin 325
are divided into a one hour lecture followed by a one
hour lab session two days per week. A computer projection system and large
screen is used to illustrate the points from each day's lecture. Following the
lecture, you will work in the lab section to get "hands-on" experience
solving problems in computer applications. The laboratory section involve only
25 students per meeting and every student works individually on a
fully equipped PC system.
