CINE 726 Crew:

I am going to "kicked-off" your bibliographies/filmographies, I strongly advise that you begin by setting-up a (Word) document to record everything that you will be looking at in preparation for your film. Bibliographies and filmographies should include everything that you have considered in preparation for your film, even if you don't end up using it. It is FAR easier to assemble a bibliography/filmography as you go, trying to construct a bibliography from memory is next to impossible to do, and will save future frustration.

I'll insist that everyone make themselves aware of the Chicago Manual of Style. Most disciplines have a specific citation method they follow (e.g., Literature follows the MLA, History follows the Chicago Manual of Style), the discipline of Cinema doesn't have any such formal methodology, however, almost all of the major Cinema publications (e.g., Wide Angle, Cinema Journal) all use the Chicago Manual of Style. Here is a link to a handbook for the Chicago Manual of Style: Diana Hacker's A Pocket Style Manual.

Happy Researching,

Aaron
