The second midterm exam is optional for those who seek to raise their grade. It will be given from 5:4o to 6:30 P.M. before the regular class meeting on November 20th. It will be similar to the first midterm, with 40 multi choice questions covering Chapters 27, 7, 48, 49, 52, 29, 30, 34, 35, 36, 37 and 39 in the Cheeseman text.
Your grade on the second midterm will only count towards your final grade if it is higher than your grade on the first midterm. If you do not choose to take the second midterm, or if your second midterm grade is lower than the first midterm, then only the grade on the first midterm will be used.
ERROR CORRECTION NOTICE
There is a typo in the list of Chapters to be covered on the second midterm. The corrected list, in the order covered in class, is Chapters:
27, 47, 48, 7, 52, 29, 30, 34, 35, 39, 36 and 37
Chapter 26, Real Property Credit and Security, is not on the exam because the rules vary too much from state to state. Chapter 28, Bankruptcy, is not on the exam because it would take a whole course to cover the rules in any depth.
Thanks to the students who called the typo to my attention, and apologies for any confusion this may have created.
