Free Chat is a "chat room" system for the web, designed and written by New Breed Software. A "chat room" is
a place on a website where lots of people can join in and talk to each other. If you've ever seen "Internet Relay Chat" (IRC) or used a multi-line BBS system which had chat, you'll know exactly what a "chat room" is.
Only SFSU faculty with access to host online.sfsu.edu have the ability to use Freechat.
