Step 2: Print this page so you have a copy of these directions. Once you have a printout, click on the "Create code" button.
Step 3: Select "File" from the menu bar and then select "Save as".
Step 4: Type in a new filename in the space provided (faculty-index is currently displayed in the filename box).
We recommend that you use a lowercase 2-8 character filename so that the filename will not be truncated on older DOS based computers. More importantly, you must name the file with a .htm extension to identify that it is a web document. For example: mycourse.htm.
Step 5: Write down the directory you are saving the file.
Step 6: Click on Save.
Step 7: Transfer the file to your public_html directory on host online using Fetch (Mac) or WS_FTP (Windows).
Step 8: Open an Internet Browser, like Netscape, and open the URL of your faculty home page. For example, http://online.sfsu.edu/~userid/nameofpage.htm
