Course Work for SFSU Pre-Health Students

Preparation for most health professional schools includes, at a minimum, major's level introductory course work in biology, chemistry, physics and math. Taking additional course work in the form of several upper-division science electives is highly recommended. Taking introductory psychology, sociology and public health classes is also beneficial, as these expose one to the social dimensions of health care. Pre-meds take note: these are areas tested in the latest version of the MCAT.
