MEMBERSHIP

This Society is open to all, but we are
particularly soliciting membership by scientists and students working
on estuarine and coastal environments in California and Mexico.
If you are interested in participating in this society, please read the
following information and the Bylaws. Then,
follow the instructions to Join CAERS.

| CATEGORIES
OF MEMBERSHIP |

There are three categories of membership:
|
|
Regular. Persons whose
professional activities are consistent with the purpose of the
organization.
|
| Student. Persons
whose interests are consistent with the purpose of the organization and
who are currently enrolled in a college or university as verified by a
faculty member. |
| Honorary.
Persons whose outstanding contributions in estuarine and coastal
research have been recognized by Executive Committee and CAERSs
members. Honorary members are elected for life and do not pay dues. |

| DUES |
 |
Dues of $10 (regular) or $7 (student) per
calendar year are payable by check to the Secretary-Treasurer in
January of each year.
Dues and any donations or earnings will be used to support activities
of the Society. We keep mailing and other expenses low and to use
available funds for worthwhile activities such as supporting graduate
student travel to the national meeting. |
