MEMBERSHIP

This Society is open to all, but we are particularly soliciting membership by scientists and students working on estuarine and coastal environments in California and Mexico.

If you are interested in participating in this society, please read the following information and the Bylaws. Then, follow the instructions to Join CAERS.

CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP

There are three categories of membership:

Regular. Persons whose professional activities are consistent with the purpose of the organization.

Student. Persons whose interests are consistent with the purpose of the organization and who are currently enrolled in a college or university as verified by a faculty member.
Honorary. Persons whose outstanding contributions in estuarine and coastal research have been recognized by Executive Committee and CAERSs members. Honorary members are elected for life and do not pay dues.

DUES
Dues of $10 (regular) or $7 (student) per calendar year are payable by check to the Secretary-Treasurer in January of each year.

Dues and any donations or earnings will be used to support activities of the Society. We keep mailing and other expenses low and to use available funds for worthwhile activities such as supporting graduate student travel to the national meeting.
